This year, the films at Latinamerika i fokus explore different realities across Abya Yala, shaped by two essential social forces: memory and movement. Together they sustain resistance against forgetting, the erasure of identities and uniform truths that displace other perspectives.
The works we present ask: what do we struggle to remember or forget? What new meanings do our memories acquire as we move through times and contexts? How can memory and movement give us the strength to face the systemic challenges of our time together?
